Some music from the past.

One of my favourite composers is William Byrd. I have always enjoyed his choral pieces and Masses but have not found too many recordings of his keyboard works- a pity, as he was known as the foremost English composer and player of the keyboards of his time. So, much to my delight I found several pieces of his keyboard works available on youtube. The one I link to below is from Fitzwilliam Virginal Book. It was written for the virginal (which in England meant a range of instruments of the harpsichord family) but is here played upon the organ. It is short. Enjoy!
