This is how it's done!

h/t to Shrine of the Holy Whapping.

Follow this link to a news story about the renovation of a church from the 1920's. The renovation was done properly and lovingly- and expensively, at over $1,000,000. The money has already been paid for through donations and pledges. Keep in mind that this parish sits in a town of about 2,500 people. The parish itself has 480 families, and yet they managed this work.

The priest and his congregation have repaired the damages of time, renovations of the 70's, and have renewed a beautiful jewel of a church for generations yet to come. Well done.
