I've just read that Canada's iconic doughnut chain, Tim Horton's, began as a hamburger joint. The original venture failed due to competition with McDonald's, and Horton retooled into the coffee and doughnut business.
My reaction: Thank goodness he changed. Can you imagine walking into a fast food restaurant and ordering a Big Ho?
