I just wanted to say that I've read some ...Hi,

I just wanted to say that I've read some of the book "50 Shades of Grey", but not all of it. I don't think I'll go and see the movie. I think it's a very silly and highly improbable story. The main character, Christian (how ironic he is named Christian?!) comes accross as a very weak, unhappy man with a lot of problems. How we are supposed to find him 'romantic' and 'heroic' is beyond me. I find him rather pathetic, which I know is extremely uncharitable. It's quite obvious to me that the female character is only interested in 'Christian' because he is rich and good looking, which I find very shallow. If he were unattractive and poor then we wouldn't have a story, would we? The movie itself has been compared to a narrative about domestic violence, which probably does miss the point somewhat, but I'm relieved that it doesn't look anything like a real romance to most people.

I'm enjoying reading your blog, so thank you.
Sue from Australia.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3450626869303471458.post-75279523195419002622013-01-07T01:51:51.560-05:002013-01-07T01:51:51.560-05:00Very well said.
