Prayer for Choosing a State of Life
O my God, Thou Who art the God of wisdom and counsel, Thou Who readest in my heart the sincere will to please Thee alone and also to regulate my life in regard to my choice of a state in life conformable in everything to Thy most holy will; grant me, through the intercession of the most blessed Virgin, my Mother, and of my Patron Saints, the grace to know what state I ought to enter, and when known to embrace it, so that I may be able to seek and promote Thy glory in it, work out my salvation and merit that heavenly reward which Thou hast promised to those who carry out Thy divine will. Amen.
