Former Archbishop of Toronto Cardinal Ambrozic died earlier today. Please pray for his soul.
I don't think I ever read an article in any newspaper that praised him. He was hated by people on the left for being too conservative, and he was condemned by those on the right for being too liberal. Everyone I knew who had met him or had dealings with him, priest or lay, either could not stand him or hated his guts. From this I must draw the conclusion that he must have been doing something right.

He confirmed me when I was a teen and baptized my wife when she entered the church 6 years ago. I also had the privilege to hear him speak during my wife's RCIA classes.
