Headline in Toronto Star, page one: "NFLD. offers lessons on religious schooling".
The main gist of the article is about how to bring an end to religious education. Newfoundland used to have a faith based system, one set of school boards for the protestants, and another for the Catholics. Newfoundland shut both down and created a single secular board. The article portrays Ontario Catholics as running scared and in fear of losing their boards. Best line of the article: "Extracting schools from the church's(sic) grasp was no easy task." Apparently, neither the writer nor editor paid attention to their lessons at whatever school they attended. As they were writing about bringing schools from two different faiths, they should have written "churches'".
