I don't think Orwell could ever have imagined Big Brother looking like this



The slogan is rather fearful:  No Exceptions.  No Excuses.  No Escape.  The no exceptions or excuses part is not too bad.  It means the tax is universal, and a universal tax, while odious, at least has some claim to fairness.  No, it's the No Escape bit.  That is a threat.  You cannot escape the whimsical, all-seeing eye of dancing Big Brother!

In Orwell's darkest nightmares, he could not have envisioned that someone may one day portray Big Brother as cute.    Shudder.
