Scientists are set to clone a woolly mammoth within the next ten years.
Is this to be embraced as another step in the pursuit of knowledge, or something to be avoided before we find ourselves trapped in a control room while previously extinct species learn to unlock and open doors with their prehensile trunks?
The last line of the article is telling: "For better or worse it seems the controversial question, “should we?” has taken a backseat to its straightforward sibling, “can we?”"
