I'm a book person. I don't like the way the screen changes in Kindle and I like a non screen paper format. Plus I get a lot of my books from used book stores cheap. I could see where it would be useful for academic reading (less heavy).
I love the Kindle. Made my life a lot easier. I carry whole libraries with me, including tons of classics which are available for free.
