Here is the announcement in The Canadian Freeman of May 26, 1864 that had a hand in the Corpus Christi Riot of that year, which I previously wrote about here.  Take a look at the order of the procession and the demands on the faithful.  Interesting what was once expected, what was once done, and what we have lost.
