Pray for the truth to come to light

The remains of over two hundred children have been found buried under a Catholic residential school in Kamloops, BC.

Over 4,000 first nation children died in the residential schools during the century they were in operation.  Some were operated by the Catholics, others by Anglicans, all government sponsored,  But there is no context where this does not look bad.

I remember news reports of the bodies of hundreds of children being found in the septic tank of a Catholic orphanage in Galway, Ireland.  The news reports gave the impression that the children were flushed down the toilet.  The longer truth, for those who cared to bring it to light, was a bit more complicated.  Ireland in that period suffered from an appalling infant mortality rates, and crowded, underfunded orphanages were among the worst.  The orphanage needed a place to bury the children who were dying under their care.  They had recently converted to the public sewer, but still had their old septic tank.  So the cleaned out the tank and converted it to a crypt.  So to put in a headline that the remains of hundreds of children were found in a septic tank is both true, but not the whole truth.

Whatever the truth may be, in Canada, for good or for ill, I pray that it will come to light. Our Lord said the Truth will set you free.  He never said anything about it making you happy.

Today I went to our library that was advertising free books that they were "cleaning out". I took a book, The History of Western Civilization", a book on early settlers in the American Northeast, and a book on Dublin. We all ought to have in our possession books written from the 1960's or before on such topics, because the liars and revisionists and Marxists are going to erase actual history and replace it with their lies. We'll all be surprised to find out that black homosexuals actually founded North America.

I am waiting to hear some facts. I am hoping there will be a full investigation into this, and then we will know what happened. At the moment a lot of people are commenting and hypothesizing in the absence of facts, and rumour and conspiracy abounds. It is not a good scene. It would be better to hear the facts, as horrible as they are and even as more horrible they may turn out to be, than to frame a discussion or, worse, act upon rumours.
