June being the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus has brought a question to mind.
According to Toronto Catholic Blog, Toronto's first bishop consecrated the diocese to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, but later when the diocese was too big for central control it was broken into deaneries, and the home deanery was named for St Michael, who is now considered our patron saint.
Shouldn't we still be under the patronage of the Sacred Heart, or am I confusing things?
