A Terrible Anniversary

I found out a little while ago that on this day in 1969 Abortion was legalised in Canada. At the time it had many restrictions on it- serious reasons, doctor's approval, etc- and the total derestriction was years into the future. Even so, on this day we took a definitive step in the wrong direction, and down a very slippery slope.
