In the old liturgical calendar Sept 26 is the memorial of Sts. Cyprian and Justina, martyrs. St Cyprian has always fascinated me, and John Henry Newman's description of his martyrdom in the novel Callista is must reading. Sts Cyprian and Justina, pray for him.
