I hate being right

In the weeks leading up to the introduction of the new translation,  whenever confronted with a post or a comment that the new translation would lead to amazing changes and force all the priests to finally say the red and do the black, I repeatedly said that the priests were not adhering to the old translation, so why does anyone expect them to adhere to the new one? Last night, I could not make it to the service at my parish, and had to go to another, and found the priest was- guess what?- changing the words of the Mass.

Your DUTY is to write it down and send it to the Cardinal.

What did he change?

Several things. I don't have a full list, as I was chasing a twenty month old around the narthex for a large chunk of the Mass. I would have to go back with my missal to make an entire catalogue. The one thing that really stuck out was a change he made to the Lord's Prayer, when he altered "deliver us from evil" to "deliver us from our sins."

Well that alone is pretty major. What's with these guys?
