BBC is continuing its excellent "Sacred Music" series of documentaries. This time around, they are doing more modern composers.
Embedding is, unfortunately, disabled. This video is the second part of the Faure and Poulenc episode. An interesting, if brief, part of the video begins at 5:50, where they discuss the kind of music that was popular in churches during Faure's time, including a brief piece of music from the period. It was exactly this kind of music that St Pius X wrote against and banned in his Tra La Solicitudine.
