One of my coworkers called in sick today. His seven year old son had been rushed to the hospital last night and was given a transfusion on account of low hemoglobin. They are testing the boy for cancer today.
UPDATE: The boy was found to have a rare form of Leukemia. On the plus side, It has been caught soon, and he has a 90% chance of recovery.
